Welcome, I'm Catherine Hansen. I started by signing up for a pottery class through community education to "survive" my medical training, and the rest is history.
Now I am lucky enough to live on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior, where I am a family doctor by day. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and canoeing through the north woods. Much of my work is inspired by our natural surroundings. Just like the many textures of the great outdoors, I love the tactile nature of clay. My pieces are fully functional, rich in surface design, meant to be held, used, and touched. So go ahead and grab a cup of coffee, sit down, and stay awhile!
